Jung Sun-hee discussing remarriage with Kim Young-chul on YouTube

A Candid Heart-to-Heart

Comedian Jung Sun-hee has recently shared her raw and honest thoughts regarding her future and personal life. On November 7, a new video was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Jip Nagan Jung Sun-hee', titled "20+ Year Friendship Bestie Kim Young-chul." The episode featured her long-time friend, comedian Kim Young-chul, and the chemistry between the two veterans was palpable as they caught up on life.

"Not in This Country"

During their deep conversation, the topic naturally drifted toward relationships. Kim Young-chul didn't shy away from asking the big question: "Do you have any thoughts of getting married again?" Jung Sun-hee's response was immediate and firm. "Do I have the intention to go again? No," she stated clearly, shutting down the possibility.

When Kim pressed further to understand her reasoning, Jung turned the tables on him. "Would you if you were me?" she asked, before delivering a poignant clarification: "Certainly not in this country." Her words hinted at the immense pressure and public scrutiny she faces in Korea regarding her personal history.

Remembering a Tragic Past

Her hesitation to embrace new dating views or marriage is understandable given her heartbreaking backstory. Jung Sun-hee married actor Ahn Jae-hwan in 2007, but the couple was parted by tragedy the very next year when he passed away. It was reported that the late actor had suffered severe psychological distress due to financial difficulties. Following the incident, Jung took a hiatus from the entertainment industry to mourn, eventually making her return to broadcasting in 2010.
