Netflix has officially confirmed the production of its intriguing new series, 'Beauty in the Beast' (working title), unveiling a fresh and youthful casting lineup that includes Kim Min-ju, Lomon, and Moon Sang-min. This announcement has already sparked excitement among K-drama fans eager for a unique twist on the romance genre.

A New Chapter in Youth Fantasy Romance

'Beauty in the Beast' is described as a youth fantasy romance that unfolds on a college campus. The story centers on 'Min-su', a student harboring a dangerous secret—she turns into a wolf. Her life becomes entangled with 'Hae-jun', a charismatic university senior, and 'Do-ha', a mysterious wolf boy. The narrative promises a chaotic yet heartwarming journey as Min-su, a werewolf navigating the human world, enters university and faces entirely new challenges.

Having lived her life suppressing her true emotions and instincts to avoid transforming, Min-su has successfully socialized through rigorous upbringing. However, stepping into university life opens up a world she has only ever observed from a distance, forcing her to confront her true self.

Meet the Star-Studded Cast

The casting lineup brings together some of the industry's most promising young talents, drawing attention to their potential chemistry.

Kim Min-ju takes on the lead role of Ha Min-su, the girl with the wolf secret. Kim, who has showcased her versatility in projects like the film *Hear Me: Our Summer* and dramas *Undercover High School* and *Connection*, portrays a character who has always lived in fear of being discovered. Despite her cynical exterior and suppressed nature, Min-su is a curious girl who dreams of a normal life, wanting to explore the world freely.

Moon Sang-min plays the role of Hae-jun, Min-su's university senior. Known for building a solid filmography with *Cinderella at 2 AM*, *Wedding Impossible*, and *Under the Queen's Umbrella*, Moon embodies a character nicknamed a "large dog" for his gentle personality, which contrasts with his sharp, somewhat intimidating appearance. While Hae-jun is generally indifferent to others, he finds himself inexplicably drawn to Min-su, who acts strangely whenever she stands before him, catching his eye in unexpected ways.

Lomon, who proved his strong presence in global hits like the Netflix series *All of Us Are Dead*, as well as *Family Plan* and *Branding in Seongsu*, stars as Do-ha. Unlike Min-su, Do-ha is a werewolf who embraces his nature and lives freely. He is a character who acts on his instincts without hesitation. He finds himself bothered by Min-su, who lives in stark contrast to him by suppressing her feelings, yet he can't help but care about her, creating a compelling dynamic between the two.

A Powerhouse Production Team

Behind the camera, 'Beauty in the Beast' boasts a formidable creative team. The series is directed by Jin Hyuk, renowned for his delicate character portrayals and stunning visual storytelling in hit dramas like *The Legend of the Blue Sea*, *Sisyphus: The Myth*, and *The Tale of Lady Ok*.

The script is penned by Jin Han-sae, the writer behind the acclaimed Netflix series *Extracurricular* and *Glitch*, known for his bold writing style and sharp insight. Production is handled by Studio 329, the company behind *Extracurricular* and *Crime Puzzle*, raising expectations for another high-quality series that blends unique storytelling with top-tier production values.
